Located in the heart of Malvern, Moss & Meadow creates floral designs that transform nature’s beauty into timeless arrangements. We take great care in creating designs that are personal and special to both the recipient and the occasion, and we strongly believe that flowers have a great impact on life as a way to express love and spread happiness.
Our signature look lies in creating natural, "garden-style" designs using an abundance of textural elements. We are endlessly inspired by the unique beauty that each season brings, and our passion lies in sharing this and letting nature speak through our arrangements.
We love to support all things local, from the flowers in our cooler to the botanically-inspired home decor and gifts in our shop. We maintain strong relationships with several nearby growers and local makers to promote our community and provide our customers with truly one-of a-kind finds.
Our shop has grown and transformed over the years—starting out tucked away on the grounds of a local nursery, then spending many wonderful years in a charming cottage on a quiet side street, and now happily calling a unique and historic building on King Street our home. As we’ve evolved, so has our name—what began as Cottage Flowers is now Moss and Meadow, a name that reflects both our natural aesthetic and a personal touch: “Moss” is the owner Heather Potter’s family name, and her family—especially her mom—played a vital role in building the business from the very beginning. In those early days, her mom was always there to lend a hand, helping to bring Heather’s flower shop dream to life. Now, after more than 20 years in business, it continues to be our goal to make the world a little lovelier, one arrangement at a time.
The Moss & Meadow team has expanded over the years to include a dedicated group of core designers. For larger events, we work alongside a reliable group of freelance florists to handle all of the many details that go into large-scale events.
Heather’s love for flowers and nature began at an early age, playing outdoors, creating fairy gardens with her grandmother, and constantly picking up “treasures” like pretty leaves, stones, and bits of moss and lichen. One of her earliest flower memories is starting her “own” little garden, planting a tiny patch of marigolds in a corner of the yard with her mom.
She started working at a flower shop in high school, where she quickly fell in love with the art of floral design. After high school, several years’ experience working at a landscape nursery deepened her appreciation of plants and the art of garden design. With this background in landscaping, Heather brings a natural, organic style to her work, combining plant knowledge with a creative flair.
Her deep connection to the outdoors influences her designs, and she enjoys working with fresh, locally sourced blooms whenever possible to create designs that reflect the natural landscape and embrace each season. Heather’s love of interior design also plays a key role in her approach, as she believes in creating cohesive, harmonious events where every detail—from floral arrangements to decor feels thoughtfully curated.
When she’s not working, Heather enjoys reading, spending time at the beach with family, and unwinding at home with her two cats, Poppy and Rosie. Although it’s hard to choose a favorite flower, Heather particularly loves pansies, queen anne’s lace and lily of the valley.
Honey is our resident golden retriever and the heart of the shop. You'll usually find her relaxing in the office, wandering up for a few head scratches, or happily keeping the team company while we work.
She loves people, never turns down a little attention, and firmly believes every day is better with a good nap and a handful of treats. While she's not always out front, Honey is always nearby, making Moss & Meadow feel just a little more welcoming.
If you're lucky, you might get a glimpse of her through the design room or catch her running around up at the park!
Charlotte finds joy in many hobbies but can most often be found with some kind of half-finished yarn project. She loves to fix, make, mend, and dream up creative solutions - making her our unofficial handy-gal around the shop. Whether she's repairing something behind the scenes or helping bring floral designs to life, she's always eager to lend a hand.
When she's not at Moss & Meadow, Charlotte loves to travel, meet friends for trivia nights, and watch reruns of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Lisianthus currently tops her list of favorite blooms!
Meet Sara, an aficionado of flowers, plants, glitter, hearts and everything chocolate. When she's not immersed in the world of flowers (her favorites are butterfly ranunculus), you'll find her creating colorful works of art with her paintbrush, taking walks on warm sunny days or having a playdate with her adorable nephew.
Nicole is happiest when traveling, testing her knowledge at trivia, or just listening to a good summer thunderstorm as it rolls through. She delights in an organized space and is always dreaming up her next home decorating project.
A natural planner and problem-solver, she loves learning something new and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish. Her favorite flower is the daffodil because of the way it signals the arrival of Spring.
Outside the shop, you'll find her floating down-river on her kayak, alongside her husband, Jim, or cozying up on the couch with her cats, Safi and Juniper.
Abbey's love of nature and gardening grew as a child, with many visits to her grandmother's lakeside garden and lots of snacking around her raspberry patch. She finds joy in quality time with her husband, Ben, and three children, and tending to her own garden when there's time. She delights in experiencing the wonder of simple things alongside her kids - bugs! birds! rocks! - and flowers of course, including her favorite, peonies.
